Greifeld touts recovery from Facebook

Shanny Basar of the Financial News reports today that Bob Greifeld, chief executive of Nasdaq OMX, said the exchange was emerging from its Facebook problems and that it expected its new compensation plan for Facebook losses to help it move forward.

On a results conference call today, Greifeld highlighted the decision by Kraft Foods to move to Nasdaq from NYSE Euronext as the biggest switch in listings between the two exchanges.

He said: “Companies with a total market capitalisation of $122bn have moved from NYSE to us in a record year for switches. We are in dialogue with a number of companies on the benefit of a Nasdaq listing and there has been no visible impact from May 18 from these discussions.”
