Alex Frino

Alex Frino is a Professor of Finance at the University of Sydney and also serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the Capital Markets Cooperative Research Centre Ltd.  Dr. Frino possesses a Masters Degree in Finance from Cambridge University and a PhD in Finance from the University of Sydney.  He is a specialist in market microstructure and financial market integrity and his work has appeared numerous times in academic journals.

Dr. Frino has conducted extensive research on high frequency trading and its impact on financial markets.  The results of his research have led Dr. Frino to conclude that high frequency trading can make a positive contribution to financial markets.  Perhaps the most significant conclusion drawn from his research is that high frequency traders are producers of liquidity in markets.
