Stocks Trading Higher On Wholesale Report

U.S. stocks reversed course and were trading higher after the release of government report showing that wholesale businesses restocked at a healthy pace in April, suggesting that second-quarter growth could be better than the 1.9% gain at an annual rate in the first quarter.

Investors initially were selling stock on continuing concerns about signs of slowing growth in the U.S. and China.

In mid-morning trading, the Dow Jones industrial average, the broader Standard & Poor’s 500 index and the Nasdaq composite index were all trading higher.
