Japan’s Financial Services Agency is seeking to make stronger ground rules as to governing takeovers to avoid what h happened to Olympus Corp. The agency is currently studying amendments to securities law and is working on the nation’s stock exchange to require companies to disclose more information on mergers and acquisitions. The Olympus company has reported a 13 year of covering investment loss. The company was able to cover up their losses by making oversiezed payments to adviser.
France’s financial market regulator has asked European Union to tighten rules and regulations regarding high frequency trading. Since the crash in last May, the Market Authorities and the European Securities are establishing new laws to implement on high frequency trades.
